Spoils of War

This is a rough little concept for my forever ongoing post-apocalyptic/tribal project. I try to develop a visual style for a mystic past: a relief-like puppet world, with lots of symbols and ideograms (notice the Super Mario coin and mushroom the soldiers carry away.) It should feel ancient and grim, innit?

Game Characters

Here are some characters from a personal gaming project I'm currently working on. There is still a lot to do, more characters, items, backgrounds, logos, etc. Oh, the topic is controversial and hot: Migration!

Longhair

Yet another creature from maori folklore: Matuku-tangotango, an ogre, adversary of the hero, Rata. He gets decapitated by Rata when he comes to a pond to wash his hair when the moon ascends the horizon. Thus in my interpretation he is a lunar monster, having his powers closely aligned with the moon. His magic life source is in his huge stack of hair, which is when it's let down comes to life. Like the octopus's legs, it hunts fish and devours all underwater the pond. Matuku's war club is merely a comb, one to fit this monstrous hair. My beast is more horrendous by essence and chance than by meditation and intent: a huge, dumb varmint - innocent as a predatory animal, just following his nature.

Gods of the Apocalypse - Sea Goddess

I have some designs for the gods of the future, who should be worshiped by people who survived the apocalypse. What sort of experiences should be conceptualized into a divine entity by the wretched remnants of humanity? My guess it's nuclear mushroom clouds, acidic rains, plague, floods, tornadoes and other cute and fancy stuff! Since destroying planet Earth is predominantly a white man's practice, I decided to come up with an Aryan model. And since the Aryan mindset is sexist by default because of the language (he-she-it, der-die-das, on-ona-ono, etc.) and loves triple deities (God-Jesus-Holy Spirit, Zeus-Hades-Poseidon, Mickey-Donald-Pluto) three triplets would make a perfect pantheon: three bothers, three sisters plus three "neutral gender" siblings. The first one to be published is the Sea Goddess, who represents the many dangers of the post-apocalyptic oceans: raised sea levels, poisonous, fouled water, drowning, sea storms, mutant monsters lurking in the deep waters.

Motion Posters

I have this funny little mad scientist character, I named him Dr.Kretin. I decided to make some motion posters, presenting him as an advocate of science. This way I could show my love for typography, animation and character design at one go! Look out for more to come!

Coltboy

Here is the first character of a series of Myths & Tales, creatures from the green ocean, the infinite grassland. I am going to make a couple of characters based on the cultures of the Eurasian steppe. This one is my design for the folk tale hero Son-of-the-White-Mare. If you haven't seen Marcell Jankovics's animated feature film based on this folk tale, I highly recommend to do so. The tale itself is one of the oldest from Hungarian folklore and the film is one of the most influential movie experience for me from my childhood.

Black Gold

This is a storyboard intended for a title sequence of a documentary/image film.
The emphasis was on introducing the subject of the movie as an environmentally aware, caring, ethically committed organization. We are talking about an oil company. We did achieve this with our main titles storyboard, both agency and client were happy. We had a lot of fun and laughter with Gergely Piroska who finalized the graphics.
(To protect the innocent I decided to blur the logo at the end.)
